Perched above the appropriately named and truly spectacular Lover’s Bay on Lord Howe Island, this boutique Lodge carries all the hallmarks of beachside living with luxe.
The unique lodge commands spectacular ocean, lagoon and mountain views and is said to be favoured by discerning guests seeking a more civilised and sophisticated escape.
Less than a 2 hour flight from Sydney, Lord Howe Island is a small, breathtakingly beautiful island, just 11km long and home to less than 300 people. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the island's rugged volcanic peaks sit at one end and the entire island is bordered by a reef-fringed lagoon and rolling surf.
With just 9 suites, Capalla is one of a handful of lodges on the island and the only one to boast mountain and ocean views. Floor to ceiling windows throughout allow guests to appreciate them from dawn until dusk.
Capella is one of 3 Baillie Lodges in Australia owned and managed by dynamic young husband and wife team James & Hayley.
Type of ceremony:
Whether you want an intimate lunch celebration for two or take over the entire Lodge, Capella can cater for your wedding needs.
Apart from very intimate affairs, weddings at Capella usually require the booking of the entire lodge for a minimum of three nights. Weddings are not catered for during peak summer months.
In keeping with the rest of Australia, ceremonies may be conducted on Lord Howe Island by a Civil Marriage Celebrant, Ministers of Religion or the Local Registrar. Capella will be able to help you with the arrangements.
Weddings with a small group of family and friends away from it all. Lord Howe has been dubbed the world's 'lost paradise'.
