Barefoot Bride hotel celebrates triple award:
(Feb 2011) Congratulations to The Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey for breaking all records this weekend at the Guernsey Awards for Achievement.
The Old Government House Hotel and Spa has become the first triple winner in the 25 year history of the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2010 - winning 'Excellence in Training', 'Best Large Business' and 'Best Business of the Year' awards.
The awards come hot on the heels of last months accolades for two sister hotels in the Red Carnation Group, which celebrated entries in the Conde Nast Gold List 2011. Both the Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa in South Africa's Cape Town and Bushman's Kloof in S Africa's Western Cape received entries in the 'best places to stay in the world' category.
Andrew Chantrell, General Manager of the Old Government House, dedicated the awards to his team saying, "We have achieved this success and recognition solely through hard work and dedication, therefore these awards, and this evening, are very much for my team. As a customer-service-focused business, inspired by the Red Carnation ethos of "No request is too large, no detail too small," the training and development of our staff is absolutely paramount."
Set in the heart of The Channel island, this four star hotel in Guernsey, fondly know as The OGH, commands inspirational views from St Peter Port across the harbour, out to sea and the neighbouring islands.
Celebrating over 150 years of hospitality, the hotel retains its timeless charm and elegance whilst combining contemporary comforts and features of a modern hotel. All the best ingredients for a perfect honeymoon - and only a short hop away from the mainland too!
